Human connection is one of my favorite things to experience and write about . It comes in all different forms. Nearly all interactions you experience throughout life are meaningful and important. For example if you have a good interaction with your local barista, that can instantly boost your mood and brighten your day! I would personally label myself as a social butterfly. I am not scared of talking to people or hanging out with a new group. Some people have asked me how I go about it, and I say I just simplify the situation as much as I can. This past semester I am taking an in person class at a new campus. I always like to make acquaintances in the classroom. It can spark joy and bring a new connection plus for selfish reasons, it can come in handy if you need help or have a question about the material. When we were little kids, we often met our closest friend just because someone made the first move and wasn’t so worried if the other would reciprocate or was worried if the other person thought they were cool.. I remember exactly when I made my first ever best friend. We were on the playground outside of our kindergarten classrooms. We were on the stairs, She standing above me with a group of already-established friends. I joined the class late and was spending recess with my lonesome. She asked me if I wanted to play with them and for some reason, I said no. I was probably intimidated. She asked again if I was sure, and I said well, okay, yes. That girl ended up being my close friend for the rest of our adolescence. Sandbox love never dies!( Jennifer's body reference….). Other friendships I’ve fallen into because I was at the right place at the right time. Another example is Genelle, who I met when I was 14 and is still one of my best friends to this day. I also support shooting your shot! Meeting new people and saying yes to going out.
Another person some of you guys might know is Tori. She is someone quite special to me and needs her own paragraph. I have always known of her because we went to the same elementary, middle and high school. We’ve interacted and been friendly with each other throughout those years. Apparently She has this story of me chasing her around on one of those seated scooters you use in PE??? I do not recall this. However, We also hung out one time in 8th grade, which seems really random because we never were in the same social circle. I have footage of this on my old iPhone 5 which I have been permanently logged out of. I need to figure out how to jailbreak it because those videos and pictures would be GOLD.
Anyways, during quarantine, we started communicating with each other more on social media which led to DMS which led to text which led to hanging out and falling in love! I like to say she's my invisible string friend because everything seems to have led me to her. I feel very secure in our relationship and everything with her comes so easy. Your next most important person in your life could be just around the corner.
What I am trying to get across is that human connection can arrive at the most random times. I really think it’s important for people to put themselves in new social settings and mingle! Ofc be safe.Okay, the moral of the story is to love girls and friends….
Okayyyy bye ily till next time!
XOXO,
