Meet Elizabeth,Liz,Or Lizzie: One of WOMO's newest writers..

Updated: Apr 19, 2023

Little Bit About Meeeee:

My name is Elizabeth Rose Heydon, but of course no one calls me that long government name! It’s always Liz, Lizzie, or the occasional Bethy from Genelle, one of my closest friends. I am going to be a consistent writer for the WOMO blog, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m a Libra sun, Aries moon, Taurus rising from the Bay Area, California. I love astrology talk; I definitely think there is truth to it. I love a good Aquarius, Cancer, or Sag. I also have a Scorpio venus; I’ve heard that that’s important to mention. A ‘TW’ if you will. I love California, especially in the summer. I feel lucky to have been born a California girl. Santa Cruz is one of my favs spots to hit once it starts getting warmer. During the summer, I have to make it out there weekly. I love beach days and warm nights. I think it’s because these things are connected to spending time with friends. I value friendship, especially my female friendships, over anything ever. Life is literally about love and friendship, duh! I like advice from adults, Ted Talks, and memoirs. I love meeting new people and keeping my best finds close to me ;) I love anything girly, pink, and feminine. My favorite movies are This Is 40 and Uptown Girls. I love Britney Murphy and Drew Barrymore. I think I love Britney because she genuinely is one of the best actors of our generation. Her range is insane, and she would never get stuck labeled as one character, she’s a total shapeshifter. Drew is authentic, a lover of human connection and she is just a good role model and of course also another renowned actress. These two women are my favs. I also love pins and stickers. The line between collecting and hoarding has been crossed. Overall, I’m a girl who just wants to be a girl and have fun forever! I just want to give and receive love and wear kitten heels while doing so!

THIS WEEKS: favs xoxo

Media favorites

Songs:

Beverly Hills by Weezer— Weezer slay.

The Bottom by Gracie Abrams— She makes the only sad music I really listen to.

Neon Signs by Suki Waterhouse — sounds like garage band music… my fav.

Podcast: Brooke and Conner Make a Podcast

TMG studios produces Brooke and Conner Make a Podcast, and I have probably become unhealthily attached to it. It's just a fun time. I love the dynamic and playful banter between Brooke and Conner. They used to live in a content house together with two other creators, Jack Martin, and Sally Dar, so their dynamic is organic and hilarious. They even have bonus episodes every week if you subscribe to them on te TMG app it's about 3.99 a month. It's my Thursday ritual. Actually, it's my Monday through Thursday ritual because I listen to their old episodes every day over and over as my background noise. I totally recommend it.

Movie: Erin Brokovitch— recent watch, super good, I love Julia Roberts. Also based off true story.

Show: Seinfeld — I love sitcoms and since I’ve gone through all the other major sitcomes multiple times I was looking for something new. Bae put me on! Genuinely a funny, feel good show.

Fashion:

I am attached ... maybe even emotionally attached to this stupid puffer jacket. Its reversible black and red and huge and since I am cold all the time its always what I reach for. I live in California and even though it is Nor-cal it usually doesn't get terribly cold. But I wear it literally everyday. It's always on me and I take it with me even if it doesn't go with my outfit. I have been looking at different ones because it's time to move on.. Here are some big jackets that I am looking at.

Norma Kamali is the creator of the sleeping bag jacket and I want one so bad.. Or anything from the brand really. I love everything about the 70's . Everything was so colorful, fun and chunky. We see some jackets now that seemed inspired from this original design like the Skims Puffer Robe.

Here we get the comfort colors of red and black but this one is more wind breaker esk… again super 70’s.

This one is pink and black and reminds me of the dress kadie wears at the house party in Mean Girls. This is just cute and I would wear it all the time.

Favorite TV characters:

Samantha (Sex and the City) My PR princess. She never missed a fashion show. She’s my role model. Also, has anyone watched the re-boot?!?!?!

Carrie (Sex and the City): She’s delusional and great if you want to live vicariously through someone. But hey who cares if you are delusional if you have your own personal archive of Malolo Blanik’s!

Jess (New Girl): Something about teacher core sits right with me. And bangs. Comfort character.
